Why does my MacBook Pro freezes too much?

Q. Hi everyone,
Three months ago, my MacBook Pro was stolen (The first MacBook Pro) and then I bought a new one with Snow Leopard software, but I felt that my my Mac is little bit slow so I upgraded it to OS X Lion. Now, my MacBook Pro is VERY slow, freezes alot and whenever I open a pic or any file a cursor turns to rainbow circle and I've 2 wait 3 or 5 mins till it gets back 2 normal. I'm really fed up with this new mac and new software (Lion). So, can any1 help me get to the prevuios one (Snow Leopard)? plus, Is there any good app to clean mac or anything....i've heard that MacKeeper is great. Do you guys recommend me of that?

Thanks alot

A. I would honestly recommend a fresh install, or take it into the apple store to see what they think. You might have a corrupt sector on your hard drive. You may also have a hard drive about to go bad. Hard drives usually last between 3 to 5 years before showing signs of age but I have seen then last as little as 2 weeks and as much as 12 years.

here is a tutorial on how to use disk utility to see if its a bad sector.

Installing Windows on MacBook Pro?
Q. My neighbor told me I need to install Windows on my Mac to get full use out of it. Why didn't my Mac come with Windows? Is Apple going to make me purchase it separately????

A. Hello; In order to get a complete understanding of the Apple phenomena, do a websearch for; three dead trolls in a baggie... you need to watch their skit on "Internet Helpdesk", studio version.

Macs have always been (in this PC Tech's opinion) limited in their expandability, & diversity. After Apple changed the architecture of their PCs, they're no longer really "Macs" but now are in fact PCs themselves... this is why Windows will work in a mac, and why Mac OS X and above will work on a PC. Because Apple has a limited user base, this was bound to happen; Macs have been historically used in educational background, by anti establishment hippie types who hated the success of Microsoft, and saw them as another form of "big brother". Macs were made to be failsafe computers, with limited capabilities (unless you paid big bucks for the advanced versions, used in video & audio industry). The last several years, the PC has surpassed the capability if the mac. As a result, Apple has relented; where their CPUs used to be made by Motorola, and the Mac computers were completely different from the PC, and totally incompatible with them... they now use Intel (and I'd wager AMD later on down the road) CPUs. Nope, the Mac is dead; all they're selling on now is the nostalgia of the Apple & Mac name... They're all PCs now!

If you have the need for applications that you currently don't have, then (just as any PC owner) you have a few choices; find shareware or freeware software from safe sites like; www.download.com. Another choice is to buy software that will accomplish what you want to do. A third choice would be to acquire software illegally... but no matter what; no PC will do it all, right out of the box... incidentally; that's exactly what the Mac vs. PC commercials assert; that Macs do it all, right out of the box!

Since you've not been specific in saying what it is you'd like to "do" I can't be specific in giving you an answer, other than legally, if your PC didn't come with software that you want/need, then you're going to have to install it.... by the way; what exactly is "full use" of your Mac?

I hope this has helped some!;

My MacBook pro keeps freezing?
Q. It's not an issue of me running to many apps at once because even if I only have safari open the little rainbow wheel comes up. I don't know what to do. Should I do a system restore ? Any things you suggest for a quick fix? Thanks

A. Wow scan your PC with an Anti Virus yeah.........ok

Two things come to mind the first being did your laptop just have an Software Update from Apple this is most often the problem many keep the updates on and this allows Apple to do the work yet the updates sometimes have problems Yes its been known to happen.
The other if its Leopard or earlier run Disk Utility http://kb.wisc.edu/helpdesk/page.php?id=3810

the other is create a New Account and see if the problem still persists under that account if it does then it could be the System or the OS.
If you do a system restore download the Combo Update from Apple as it will install the system updates needed and they are less buggy.
