A. You are getting in way over your head, and don't know enough to ask a specific question.
Often the quotes you see (that might have an arbitrage opportunity) are old quotes, and the minute you try to take advantage of it (enter an order), the quotes are updated and the arbitrage opportunity is gone. Other opportunities in foreign countries for example, have hidden fees or other costs are involved that exceeds the opportunity.
This is a business the big boys have covered.
Are you asking about merger arbitrage, risk arbitrage, currency, bonds, options or stocks arbitrage?
Market Makers: True Arbitrage
Market makers have several advantages over retail traders:
Far more trading capital
Generally more skill
Up-to-the-second news
Faster computers
More complex software
Access to the dealing desk
Combined, these factors make it nearly impossible for a retail trader to take advantage of pure arbitrage opportunities. Market makers use complex software that is run on top-of-the-line computers to locate such opportunities constantly. Once found, the differential is typically negligible, and requires a vast amount of capital in order to profit--retail traders would likely get burned by commission costs. Needless to say, it is almost impossible for retail traders to compete in the risk-free genre of arbitrage.

Can I run a program on my old desk top hard drive to recover information on it or even fix it after I turn my?
Q. Can I run a program on my old desk top hard drive to recover information on it or even fix it after I turn my computer on? It's telling me that I lost my BIOS.... What does this mean..?! I can follow instruction very well. Could someone please help me out somehow????
A. To recover...
Remove hard drive from case...
Place into external drive case or buy a USB cable that works with SATA / IDE / EIDE 40 and 44 pin hard drives... This is the one that I use... about $25
http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=3249952&CatId=3770
Afterwords, see if the drive can be read as an external drive...
If it can be read, Great...
If not, then you can try a software recovery...
There may be freeware alteratives out there (actually I know there are) but the one that I have had the best luck with is Filerecovery Professional http://www.lc-tech.com/software/frprodetail.html which goes for $99.99... But they do have a download so that you can "try before you buy" to see if it will work for you... Once you see if it recovered your files you can purchase it... If it did not recovery your files, I guess you will have to post again to find other possible solutions...
$125 for the cable and software, I guess you will have to determine how much your data is worth... I have used the cable for multiple hard drives when I only needed temporary access and did not want to fool around with a case... The cable can come in handy when you least expect it to...
Just do not try to recover the data to the same hard drive... You will over-write the data and possibly case data loss...
Last thing... This software is time consuming depending on the computer that you use to run it... I did a 40GB drive one time and it took about 24 hours... Be patient and after about 5-10 minutes the program will tell you how long it needs to complete the recovery... It will give you the answer in minutes, so divide by 60 to get hours if you need it...

Is there software to synchronize multiple Mac computers?
Q. I have 3 Macs using OSX (latest version), two desk tops and one laptop. I use all 3 in different situations but would like to keep the contents of all 3 computers synchronized. Is there any such software?
A. You could just use a network storage drive. Plug it into your WiFi or ethernet network and store everything on that. Every computer on the network would have access to the contents of the drive. See here:
