Q. Yes, I have called HP helpdesk and I keep reinstalling the software. It shows the printer installed but when I go to print it just keeps shoting out blank sheets of paper.
I bought it so I could print out pictures from my camera.

A. You may need to provide more specific info on operating system, computer, etc.
Check the easy stuff first. Make sure you have ink cartridges in and they have the head covers (plastic tabs) removed from the ink head.
Check the connection to the computer and the power supply.
Also, carefully go through the system requirements for the printer and carefully review the install procedure to find anything that you may have missed. The owner's manual for the printer should have a troubleshooting guide which is all the tech support uses anyway.
Lastly, try out the scan function to see if you can make a copy. The copy function should be independent of the computer hooked up to it, so if it works, you know it is probably a communication problem between the two.
Do these and get back with details.

Can HP 1015 Laserjet drivers in windows 7 support LaserJet 1010 printer? because i can't find 1010 in win7 o/s?
Q. I am testing out LaserJet 1010 Printer on Windows 7 O/S and have called the HP technical helpdesk picked up by mathew, He advised me to install HP Laserjet 1010 printer using microsoft printer hardware driver software to USB001 virtual connection by clicking on apply and ok on windows 7 HP laserjet 1015 drivers within windows7, he said Microsoft is the only way to install HP printer drivers, Can HP laserjet 1015 software drivers work on HP LaserJet 1010 hardware printers in windows 7? Anyone tried windows 7 before in HP laserjet 1010 printers?
A. You probably just need the drivers for it.
There are companies that provide driver solutions. The best one I found is:
http://drivermd.com
Their software is free to download and offers a free scan of your PC or laptop. It will then tell you all the drivers that are out of date, broken, or missing and allow you to update & fix those drivers once you register the software. It's a small price to pay I think $30 and then you get unlimited driver updates. I run it every few weeks to make sure my laptop drivers are up to date.
Geez does it save me time & headaches trying to scour the Internet looking for every single driver.
There are other companies out there, but they're no where near as good. They don't have as large of a driver database or they just send you to a link farm and you still have to scour their link farm looking for the right driver. Trust me don't bother with all that.

A. Do you have WINDOWS XP installation disk with the registration number? Do you have a WIN 98 installation CD? Unless you absolutely need WIN 98 forget it!
I think that you should do a clean re installation of WIN XP, but you need both the WIN Installation CD and the Registration number.
INSTALLATION: Disconnect your system from the Internet.
Put install CD in to the drive and boot the system.
Select New Install. WATCH AND READ THE SCREEN!
Delete all partitions. Create new partitions. If drive larger than 50GB, make one partition 20GB and the second partition the rest of the drive.
Install XP in the 20GB partition. After install completion, install motherboard drivers and utilities. Install all software and drivers for printer. Install firewall and anti virus.
Connect PC to Internet, Go to www.microsoft.com update
Allow his site to update your system.
