What shoud I notice when I buy a help desk software?

Q. It is a permanent cooperation, so I want to choose a good company, anyone can tell me what should I notice? such as price, service.

A. Yes, just like Jean said, it is a good idea to get a free software at first. But, as it is well known, free one is not the best one usually. This software is used to keep contace with customers, in other words, it is very important for a company, right? So, if you can, just choose a good one and it will be worthwhile.

As for your question, price is an important factor, besides, quality and service are also very important. In fact, they are just what our company promised:

No server, no installation, no retaining required
No risk and no time limited for the free trial
Up-to-date always
SEO for the articles in Knowledge bases
No hidden fees
Quick account activating
Permanent real person support
Highly customization allowed
Highest data security protect
Twitter interface

How can understanding the basics of software design help the average person?
Q. I just completed a very very basic QBasic software design class. How can basic knowledge of software design help me in my future career. I plan to go into management. Can you think of any ways that I can apply the concepts to my future work?

A. I've worked in management for several years and I have never really had to understand software development to perform my job. It is good to know VB for when you are dealing with a program like Excel (depending upon what kind of business, you may use a lot of analytical spreadsheets). Or if your company uses inventory software like AS400 then understanding some programming can help you to understand that program more in depth. The most I've used programming is when dealing with spreadsheets to make customer price box guidelines or just create a sheet to perform a commonly used formula, like for sales and marketing. I guess that about sums it up. You will usually have an IT help desk on site, if you work for a major company, to handle programming.

What are the functions of the multiple monitors on a stock trader desk? what is the difference?
Q. Why do they need so many monitors to view charts and stuff and what source are they looking at ( any particular software) ??

the keyboard seems different too, where can i buy those and how much to buy all the equipments ?

A. Let's start with answering why there are so many screens. The answer is SPEED. Whenever some piece of information comes out about some company that will affect its stock price, as a trader, you literally have a split second to act on it, or others will beat you to it, and you risk potentially losing profits. If, for example, you are following 40 stocks, you cannot afford to switch views to see info on a few at a time, you want to see them all at once, and that takes screen space. Other things that you will need screens for is news feeds, e-mail alerts, instant messaging, etc. A trader needs as much information as they can get to make very fast decisions. Depending on their role and style, each trader, or group of traders will have the information that they need most, and often as much as they can follow at once.

As for the keyboard you see, it is usually a Bloomberg terminal, but can be some other custom trading platform. I think the costs for a Bloomberg are now running at $2500 per month to subscribe to the service for the first machine, and $1000 per month for each additional terminal. There are probably other costs involved, like setup, and the actual hardware. Bloomberg usually takes up two screens, and the reason it's popular is because it provides very accurate and very recent (up to the second) info on pretty much any investment trading on any market in the world. The keyboard layout allows for shortcut keys to be more recognizable. You can Google it for more info.
