Q. Hi everyone,
Three months ago, my MacBook Pro was stolen (The first MacBook Pro) and then I bought a new one with Snow Leopard software, but I felt that my my Mac is little bit slow so I upgraded it to OS X Lion. Now, my MacBook Pro is VERY slow, freezes alot and whenever I open a pic or any file a cursor turns to rainbow circle and I've 2 wait 3 or 5 mins till it gets back 2 normal. I'm really fed up with this new mac and new software (Lion). So, can any1 help me get to the prevuios one (Snow Leopard)? plus, Is there any good app to clean mac or anything....i've heard that MacKeeper is great. Do you guys recommend me of that?

A. I would honestly recommend a fresh install, or take it into the apple store to see what they think. You might have a corrupt sector on your hard drive. You may also have a hard drive about to go bad. Hard drives usually last between 3 to 5 years before showing signs of age but I have seen then last as little as 2 weeks and as much as 12 years.
here is a tutorial on how to use disk utility to see if its a bad sector.

Why doesn't Chatroulette nor Omegle work anymore on my Mac's built-in laptop camera?
Q. I have a 13" white Mac os x... standard apple laptop. Chatroulette used to work with my computer a while back (4 or 5 months ago) and I tried getting on again and it won't allow it. The little green light by my camera doesn't even come on.
I have tried everything.
1) I downloaded the latest version of Flash Player
2) Went to the settings and clicked "allow" and "remember"
3) made sure everything that would be using my camera was off (photobooth, skype, etc)
4) Tried checking the control panel for any kind of camera settings I may have missed but I don't see anything like that at all
Now it's not even the matter of me wanting to Chatroulette, it's me being bothered that my camera isn't working and I don't know how to fix it.
SOoOOoo:
I'm not sure why it used to work and now it just won't...? It won't work on any video chat website... Anybody that knows how to fix this, please tell me! I appreciate it!

A. Sounds like you have 'Software Updates' turned on and it installed an update that your web-cam doesn't like even your typical software update even the 'Security Updates' can mess with a System. Just check and see if there was an update recently and see if it during the same frame.
If you have an external camera then check the USB port by unplugging the unit then plug it into another USB port on the laptop. Lastly run 'Disk Utility' and reset the PRAM it sometimes works
PRAM

Scroll down until you get to 'Repair Disk Permissions' and then run it as it shows

Not knowing your setup I will go for the latest update would be the issue

1st Level Helpdesk interview question.?
Q. Went to an interview for 1st Level Helpdesk and was asked, " How will you remove a virus from a computer"?
my answer was use a good updated antivirus software and also try it in safe-mode.
Q2. What if the Anti-virus can not delete that file?
i answered, look for the location of the file and try delete it from the that location ur self.
Q3. what if windows doesn't let you delete that file?
i would just format if there's a backup copy.
ok, some of these answers were wrong as told by the interviewer. could someone give me the correct answers to these please, so i know what and how to do these?

A. Q1, Isolate the computer from the network, Boot up with a live cd containing antivirus software, scan the pc.
Reason: When you load the pc the virus might change its form, damage files or not let you install an antivrus programm.
Q2. Check to See whether the file is a system file or not, if not locate and delete manual, always a good idea to check if its part of an applicatin you use, somethimes good software can be seen as a virus.
Q3. Use an unlocking software to clear any handels on the file, attach hard disk to OS X, or Linux pc and remove from there, or load with a live cd into linux and remove from within linux. Don't attach to a Windows pc because the virus might propogate.
