I want to merge the two halfs of my hard drive...!?

Q. I had to get a new ASUS hard drive installed in July. When working on it today, it said it was out of memory. The hard drive is 250 and it is in two seperate partitions. I spoke to the MESH helpdesk and they got me to go into the settings and format this unused space. It now says that that the hard drive (now named F:) is healthy and working. Although when I try to do anything on the PC is says there is no memory left....! I want to merge C: and F: so that they work together, like it used to do before the hard drive was replaced. There is no files atall on drive F:. It has been formatted.

Can anyone help??

A. There are some partition management software packages commercially available that can merge paritions without losing the data on the drive.

Google "partition management" or "partition software"

Programs like
Acronis' Disk Director
Symantec's Partition Magic

I think these will allow you to keep your data, but I can't guarantee any results with any software package; I've never performed this task.

Career : IT or rlrctrical power engineering?
Q. Currently I work as a Helpdesk Agent in the computer networks field. My major study was electrical power and machines but I changed my career . I'm thinking of returning back to my career , and work in Schneider
Which is a better , IT or electrical power engineering ??

A. IT all the WAY!!! I studied Electrical Engineering at college, then I also got a job with a Corporate Helpdesk. But I took advantage of all the free courses on software development and project management they have at my company, Verizon. I've been able to get promoted up to more interesting positions. The Helpdesk is a good place to get a general feel for the company's network and it's applications. You can then combine that insider knowledge with your own skills in Network Design(Cisco certification perhaps?) or some development skill. I've grown to love the IT side because it allows you to delve into complicated IT topics but you still have the Human Engineering side to it. But then again.... if you really really miss the heavy math apect to power engineering maybe power engineering is in your path. But the biggest factor you would want to consider are the job prospects for EE's. Are PE's getting hired as much as Network Designers etc..? I would do some google research on the money question. Hope that helps. Good Luck.
