Q. We are getting an error like 'Threaded business function processing. please wait' in PY environment of JDEdwards OW B7333/oracle 8i. Any idea of how to get rid of these??
A. It sounds like the software you use is very industry (maybe even company) specific. I guess you'll have better luck asking your IT department (if there's one) or call support desk at the company that made the software.

A. Quite honestly, any of the above could work. The more specialized and involved you get with any of the above, the more someone will be willing to pay you to do it. (A good friend of mine works with SAP, has done it for years, and is currently being paid six figures to do it. The first day she put her resume on Dice a few months back when she got tired of her old job, she got over twenty phone calls with offers. She got speciliazed in something in demand, worked for her.)
Here's the kicker though; what do you enjoy the most? If you're planning to spend the rest of your career in something, you'll be happier if you enjoy what you do. Do you like routing and networking? Go Cisco. Databases? Oracle. Etc.
Another answer hinted at this fairly well though... you really won't know what's going to be the Next Big Thing. I remember with Lotus 1-2-3 was the spreadsheet of choice, and I even took a college class in it. Haven't used it on years.
That's another point... if you get TOO specialized, and unlike my SAP example above the software goes out of fashion, it could backfire. Personally, I've got my MCSA, MCDST, CNA, Security+, A+, Net+, and I-net+. I'm not getting really big bucks from any one of 'em... but people like the variety I show as well.
Another big tip; get yourself at least an associate's degree in computer science if you can. It'll help with any of the above.

Can i move into software testing field?
Q. I have completed B.E in electrical and electronics and passed out in 2008.Cuz of recession i didnt get a job in IT field so i worked in a bpo for 1 year and and right now i have got a job in service desk in a IT infrastructre management company.I am literally fed up of taking calls and want to move into software testing field as my friends insisted that there wont be much of growth in service desk field and i cannot move out of calling profile.Shall i go to s/w testing coaching classes and take that as my career.Am i taking the correct decision?
A. You'll also get fedup of testing soon, its better u join some programming classes. any language like php,java,.net etc
or else u may go for database like Oracle if u don't have interest in programming.
Thats just my suggestion..
