Does anyone use an HR Help Desk Software?

Q. I'm interested in finding some HR help desk software, similar to IT Help Desk Software. Anyone know of some free or resonably priced software. I have searched the internet but what I have found has been overpriced or more than what I am looking for.

A. What is the size of your company?
I am at LBi Software our CaseManager product is one of the best HR Help Desk products. However it is geared (and priced) for companies over 5,000 employees. The advantage is that it will tie in with any HR system and includes employee self service functionality. Here is a link for more info http://www.lbisoftware.com/casemanager.html

Many smaller companies that do not need the HR specific features use a IT Help Desks tools such as IssueTrak or SupportMagic.

Is it illegal to download films, music and software from a free sharing website?
Q. I know a lot of my friends and people around download more than 2GB includes films, movie and software everyday from many foreign sites which are considered as sharing sites. They've downloaded this way more than 5 years and nothing happens to them. But is it different if they live in foreign countries and I live in USA?

A. *head desk* Really?

How do I get software I have purchased on a new system?
Q. I am getting a new laptop today, however, this laptop has some software I bought on here.

These are: Sony Vegas 9, Adobe Photoshop CS5 and some others.

How do I download these programs on a new laptop without purchasing it again?
I purchased these via digital download, so I have no discs.

A. Uninstall these applications from your old laptop and install them on your new laptop from the original installation discs, that is all there is to it. If the license code fails to authenticate for a certain application, simply contact the support desk of the relevant software manufacturer and they will help you with the activation free of charge.
